ABOUT DONATE LIFE KENTUCKY

Across the nation, citizens have the opportunity to help others by signing up to become organ and tissue donors through state donor registries. Legislation was passed in Kentucky during the 2006 legislative session, enabling Kentucky residents to have their wishes documented about donation through the Kentucky Organ Donor Registry.

Only designated procurement personnel will have access to the donor registry, and access to the registry would only occur at such times that would confirm an individual’s wishes regarding donation, i.e. upon the death of the individual.

All information submitted to the Kentucky Organ Donor Registry will be kept confidential and secure at all times.
