Sharing the Heart Behind Our Mission with Dr. Swannie Jett

Recently, Executive Director Shelley Snyder had the honor of joining CEO Live Talks with Dr. Swannie Jett for a conversation about the people, purpose, and passion behind Donate Life Kentucky Trust.

The discussion goes beyond organ donation to explore what happens before, during, and long after a transplant. Shelley shares how her own family’s experience with donation inspired a lifelong commitment to serving others, and how that journey led to building programs that help transplant patients, caregivers, and donor families across Kentucky.

Together, they discuss the importance of education, caregiver support, financial assistance, and ensuring no family has to navigate the transplant journey alone. From helping children waiting for lifesaving transplants to supporting donor families during unimaginable loss, the conversation highlights the power of compassion in action.
