Our twin daughters, Reagan & Riley, were diagnosed around 8 months old with dilated cardiomyopathy. Riley was admitted on July 29th 2025 for labored breathing, she was then rapidly sent to the CICU with worsening heart failure. After about a month of trying different medication, we as well as the heart transplant team decided it was best to put her on a LVAD pump to bridge her to transplant. She was listed on the transplant list for 219 days & received her perfect heart on April 2nd 2026. She was discharged 19 days later & is thriving!!

Reagan was maintained at home a bit longer on her oral medications that were prescribed, she was admitted on December 16th 2025. She was placed on ecmo within a day of admission & was immediately placed on the transplant list. She is still currently in the CICU doing her best to be a normal toddler. After 200 days, we are still waiting on the call for Reagan’s perfect heart, but we know it’s coming soon.
